Non Staining Multi Purpose Tray
This is the most versatile product in our range and can be used for cooking and defrosting. The spikes raise the food to let the the microwaves cook it more evenly and allow any liquid that comes out to drain away.
If you defrost on a plate the water that comes out can start to cook the outside of the food - this doesn't happen if you use the multi purpose tray. Always defrost using the defrost setting don't be tempted to zap frozen food on high.
Bacon will cook perfectly well on the multi purpose tray and will become crisp because it isn't sitting in the water that comes out of it. Our best tip is to turn the bacon halfway through just like you do on a frying pan.
Jacket potatoes will cook evenly and quickly on the multi purpose tray but they won't have crisp skins. When they are cooked we put the potatoes under the grill for a couple of minutes to crisp the skins.
Please note the plate cover can be used as a lid on the multi purpose tray.
